The Agronomy team was able to accomplish A LOT having been closed the past two days. Greens were verti-cut, aerified, rolled, top dressed, fertilized, and rolled again ! Fairways have been aerified as well using a solid tine, tees were topdressed as well. The sink hole on #7 was exposed and we were able to visibly see the problem and as we thought, the 24" drain pipe running from #8 approach to the middle of #7 fairway is flattened in sections. We have decided to post pone this repair until the winter months when play will not be disturbed as much as it would now. This repair will take several weeks and we don't want to interrupt play for this length of time during the peak season. We are confident that by simply filling the hole in, we will be able to reopen the right side of the fairway within a week. We appreciate your understanding as we complete this.
Today, we will be wrapping up a small sod project at the South end of the range tee, as well as rolling and topdressing greens again. We are going to use Hole Location Guide #3, tees are going to be mowed and bunkers will have the mechanical rake in them this morning to help break up the bottoms of the bunkers.
Thanks, have a great day.
