Rachel Heck Helps Team USA Defeat Team Europe in PING Junior Solheim Cup

Team USA defeated Team Europe 14.5 to 9.5 at the PING Junior Solheim Cup with Rachel Heck contributing a 3-0 record in matches.

Held at Des Moines Golf & Country Club in Iowa, Rachel helped get Team USA two points by combining with other elite juniors to defeat their opponents representing Team Europe. On Day Two, Rachel won her individual match play 4&3 to give Team USA another point.

In Round One, Rachel teamed with Emilia Migliaccio, a freshman at Wake Forest, to defeat Team Europe's Maja Stark and Letizia Bagnoli. The duo shot a gross score of 65 to win 2-up. The round was highlighted by Rachel's eagle on the #9, a 467-yard par 5.

In Round Two, Rachel paired up with fried Brooke Seay, who defeated her in the Round of 64 at last week's U.S. Women's Amateur. Combining their talents, Rachel and Brooke won 4&3 against Team Europe's Stark and Bagnoli again.

In individual match play for Round Three, Rachel was paired against Team Europe's Amanda Linner. After losing the first hole to Linner's birdie, Rachel made the match all square on #4 and went 2-up with wins on #6 and #7.

Rachel closed out the match 4&3 with three consecutive pars to win holes 13-15.
