Rachel Heck bounced back from a slow start to finish with an even-par 72 in the second qualifying round of the U.S. Women's Am. She advances to the round of 64 and finished the qualifier tied for 23rd place. She was in the 40s when she finished her round, but today's 72 ranked among the better scores on Tuesday.
Rachel was 5-over par for the tournament before finishing with birdies on No. 13, 14 and 18 to finish the qualifier at 2-over par.
Wednesday Morning Update: With the No. 29 seed, Rachel will go head-to-head with the No. 36 seed Brooke Seay. Rachel and Seay have a good playing history, including playing the third round of the U.S. Women's Open. Rachel shot a 72 against Seay's 79. The duo also competed against each other at the ANNIKA Invitational in February, which Seay, a junior in high school, won the championship.

Wednesday Afternoon Update: After jumping out to an early two-hole lead, Rachel dropped three straight holes on No. 4, 5 and 6. Rachel evened the match with a par on No. 8. After the front nine, the match remains at all-square.
Wednesday Night Update: Trailing by one with one hole to go, Rachel managed to push the match into extra holes before falling on the 20th hole.
